Chains was written by Laurie Halse Anderson. The Setting take place Road Island,New york during 1776.it a time of war and salvely.The main character is Isabel and she is the person who is tell the story.The person who opposes the main character is Mrs.Locktons. because her husband is mean to the kids.The author lead me in this book is I want Isabel get free. When Miss Mary Finch die she had a family member come and take the girls and it was a man they was her family member and he sold them girls to a woman that was really mean to the girsl.Isabel dont know where Ruth at and Mrs lockons said she sold her. If Isabel was to run a way should could not do it.The theme is Slavery, human rights.girls are forced do stuff for them and if they don’t do it they would get in trouble.
My hook : Is to see if Ruth will get free to as long as Isabel do that is the hook.
